Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package directions until al dente.
- Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
Make the Sauce
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Toss the drained pasta with the sauce. Add reserved pasta water a splash at a time to reach desired consistency. Serve immediately.
